Champagne Mead
The 2009 Indian Spring Mead turned out a little... bubbly. We had an unintentional secondary fermentation after we bottled. The good news is we were the only ones to suffer a spill, when a cork popped. We've been thinking about trying to make a sparkling mead for some time... Now we have, albeit accidentally...

File Cabinet Top
We bought a new file cabinet last spring to replace the two wooden ones we had. This cabinet was putty tan and distinctly uninteresting. It was also shorter (in height and depth) then the desk it sat next to. So, for X-mas I made Edward a top for the file cabinet. It consisted of two 12x12 inch marble tiles set in a frame. The frame was slightly deeper then the cabinet and designed to match the depth of the desk. Now they look a lot more like they belong together. And Edward has a little more working space on the desk.
Frost
It was cold in Florida this morning. So much so that we had frost out on the ditch. I had to get out there before the sun hit it. Frost doesn't wait for people on vacation to get up, you know.

Scarf
A scarf for a good friend from high school. Made from Angora yarn. I'd been looking for the right color to make her something, and this yarn popped up in a discount store. Oh, and the cats love it. They wanted to help while I was making it.
