Bookshelf

Another in the series of "if you can find it in the stores, make it yourself". A bookshelf designed for paperbacks. We'd run out of room on the shelves we had (converted media storage shelves) and were stacking books on the floor. I made this to fit in the space between the speakers in the room. When I first brought it home, I thought it was huge, but it didn't take long to fill. Turns out its a perfect fit.

Scarf

A scarf for a good friend from high school. Made from Angora yarn. I'd been looking for the right color to make her something, and this yarn popped up in a discount store.

Oh, and the cats love it. They wanted to help while I was making it.

Baby Blanket - IT

This one was for the new son of a colleague. It came out huge and very soft. The stitch I got from a pattern book I had, but the design was different. It was made in two pieces so the pattern fell away from the center. I liked the way it came out.

Baby Blanket - EGH

I like bold colors for baby blankets, so given my choice, they usually have some.

Baby Blanket - DERI

One of many in a series of baby blankets for friend's children. This one is somewhat unique in that the child himself opened the box it came in as he settled in with his Mom and Dad in his new home.

Tina's Blanket

I tried to make Tina's blanket from colors that somewhat reflected her coloring. She was a blue torbie (A tortoiseshell cat); gray, white, and tiger tan calico. The texture of the yarn hid the stich somewhat and gave it a fuzzy look.
